For homeowners in these areas, the Georgian Bay climate makes regular maintenance more important than it would be in a more sheltered community. Builder-grade components exposed to bay air, significant snowfall, and consistent freeze-thaw stress will wear faster than equivalent hardware inland.

New builds in Wasaga Beach are not immune from the climate. The bay does not care that the house is new. Builder-grade springs, seals, and hardware in a Georgian Bay environment need attention earlier than you might expect in a more sheltered location. Getting ahead of that with a proper maintenance routine is the best thing a new Wasaga Beach homeowner can do.
